The workshop begins with a brief overview of what herbal medicine is and how herbs are commonly used in everyday life. The heart of the workshop is a hands-on experience. Participants will be introduced to herbal teas, including a guided tasting to explore different herbs through aroma and flavor. They will learn simple principles for combining herbs and create their own custom herbal tea blend to take home. Next, participants will learn about herbal tinctures and will be guided in making a herbal tincture of their own, including how to prepare, label, and store it safely. No prior experience is required. This workshop is ideal for anyone curious about herbal medicine and interested in exploring simple, approachable ways to work with plant medicine at home.

Are you ready to create your outdoor oasis but don’t know where to start? Join our 2-part workshop to get inspired, learn environmentally sustainable landscape practices, and create a project plan for your individual space so that you are ready to talk to a landscape contractor or do the work yourself! No level of experience required. Find out what questions you should be asking and many cost-saving ways to make your outdoor space your most favourite place to be!

The second class will allow partipants to have individual time with Gillean to discuss their projects. Time slots will be discussed during the first class.

With nearly twenty years' experience in the U.S. and England as an architectural designer and teacher, focusing on urban agriculture and sustainability, Gillean will guide participants through the process of analyzing their own outdoor space. Through discussion, you'll develop clear design concepts and focus on how your space will mature and be nurtured in the future. Let's help Chelsea grow!

As a new resident of Quebec, Gillean is still learning French.

For the time being, this workshop will be held in English.
