Our Youth Cooking Workshops are designed to inspire healthy habits and build confidence in the kitchen. Through hands-on activities, participants will learn about balanced nutrition, mindful eating practices, and the basics of preparing wholesome meals and snacks.These workshops focus on helping youth understand food as fuel—supporting not only physical health, but also mental well-being, energy levels, and cognitive function. Participants will gain practical skills, explore simple and nutritious recipes, and develop a positive, informed relationship with food in a fun and supportive environment.
Meet Tammy Pilon-Cecchetto
Founder of Pure Joy KitchenTammy’s love of food began at a young age and grew into a passion for creating healthy, nourishing meals that don’t sacrifice flavour or joy. As a mom, she was inspired to learn more about nutrition and went on to study Holistic Nutrition, discovering the powerful impact of clean, wholesome food on overall well-being.
She is especially passionate about helping youth and young adults build confidence in the kitchen—teaching them how to prepare simple, balanced meals that support both physical and mental health, even on a budget.
Tammy brings people together around food, fostering a sense of community, connection, and lifelong healthy habits.

Mindfulness & Meditation Workshops for 8 to 12 years

Schedule: Saturday, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Our Mindfulness & Meditation Workshops for Youth provide a calm and supportive space for children and teens to slow down, reset, and connect with themselves. Participants are introduced to a variety of techniques, including guided meditation, body scan exercises, mindful breathing, creative drawing exercises, as well as gentle yoga and body movement, all presented in an engaging and age-appropriate way.Through these practices, youth develop important skills such as self-awareness, emotional regulation, and improved focus and concentration. The addition of movement helps them connect with their bodies, release tension, and build a stronger mind-body awareness.
These workshops offer practical tools to help manage stress, build resilience, and navigate everyday challenges with greater ease. No prior experience is needed—just an openness to try something new and take a moment to pause, breathe, and be present.
Meet Anna Jay
Anna is a warm and engaging yoga teacher who has been sharing mindfulness and movement practices with youth in our community. She is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported exactly as they are.
With her calm and encouraging presence, Anna helps youth build confidence through gentle yoga, mindful movement, and simple awareness practices. Her classes often blend breathwork, body awareness, and guided movement, making mindfulness accessible, fun, and meaningful for all participants.
Anna is especially skilled at connecting with youth in a way that feels natural and inclusive, helping them develop tools for focus, emotional regulation, and self-awareness that they can carry into everyday life.
