Growing Skills, Confidence & Joy: Youth Wellness Programs Recap

As our Youth Wellness Programs grant cycle comes to a close, we’re proud to reflect on a season filled with creativity, connection, and care. Thanks to the generous support of the Canada Post Foundation, we were able to offer a series of enriching workshops designed to support the well-being of children and teens in our community.

Across cooking classes, art sessions, and yoga workshops, young participants were given the opportunity to step into a safe and welcoming space where they could explore, learn, and simply feel good. Each program was guided by skilled instructors who not only taught practical skills but also fostered confidence, self-expression, and emotional well-being.

From hands-on cooking guides that introduced healthy and accessible recipes, to creative art workshops that encouraged imagination and storytelling, and grounding yoga sessions that supported mindfulness and movement, every activity was designed with youth wellness at its core.

Participants also received thoughtfully prepared booklets and materials to continue their learning beyond the workshops, along with giveaways that helped extend the experience into their daily lives. These resources reinforced key themes of self-care, creativity, and healthy routines, ensuring the impact of the program lasted well beyond each session.

Most importantly, these workshops created a consistent space where kids and teens could feel seen, supported, and encouraged—whether they came to create, to learn something new, or simply to take a break and recharge.

We are deeply grateful to the Canada Post Foundation for making this initiative possible and for investing in programs that strengthen youth well-being. Their support helped us build more than workshops—it helped us build moments of trust, joy, and growth for the young people we serve.
