Some of the best things we do exist because a partner said yes!
Loisir Sport Outaouais has supported our recreation programming for years, and the difference shows up in the small moments. A participant who needs one-on-one support gets a spot instead of a waitlist. A kid laces up borrowed skates that actually fit. A family who couldn’t afford equipment spends a Saturday on the ice like everybody else.
Here’s what that support has built:
More 1:1 support spots every year, so participants who need one-on-one support can join our programs and have a great experience doing it
A full room of skates and helmets, free to borrow, for the local schools who come to our free skating and ice access days, and for families who need them
A wheelchair attachment for the ice, so a wheelchair user can get out there with everyone else
Skating helpers for anyone stepping onto the ice for the first time
None of that is flashy. All of it is the reason someone gets to participate who otherwise wouldn’t.
Thank you, LSO, for years of partnership and for backing programming that keeps our community active and included.
